INSTAGRAM – PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Don’t use Instagram as a fact. It can be a dangerous place if YOU are not secure with the space you are in. I see Instagram as a business tool as a resume to put your best forward just that it’s on screen. It’s like your bible on the internet. But the truth is, the bible was written by a man – by you, which means it can be altered in any way you see fit. Of course, there are people that will put out their sincere truth of how they are feeling some will use it to air their deepest secrets. It’s for you to decide what’s your purpose what’s your intention.
But let me say this don’t scroll through people’s Instagram wishing you were on that boat, that vacation, had that husband, had that house, that outfit, that speaking engagement, that house, because I tell you one thing you don’t know if it belongs to them, or what sacrifices had to be made, or what souls had to be sold to get there. You are just a mere spectator looking in not even knowing the entire story.
Stay focused on your path know what your purpose and why you are using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any social media platform what’s the end game for you. If you find it’s affecting your day to day life and how you are viewing yourself or others delete it because it’s unhealthy.
I will tell you from experience you don’t know people’s truth’s and you definitely can’t tell through a social media app so before you go over the deep end because you think someone’s life is perfect or it’s better than yours remember this one thing everything one has struggles maybe not at the same time just some decide to share and some decide to not. It doesn’t make either wrong. We all choose to handle our lives and what we put out to the world differently. Some people care more about perception than others.
Asked yourself this, what time am I taking to really invest in me and my happiness instead of others?
