PAUSE UNTIL I PRESS PLAY
It’s okay to take a moment and pause right in your footsteps. Many times our mind and our to-do list tells us to keep going because of the deadlines we all have to meet in life. But sometimes our physical state feels so overwhelmed that this list starts to affect our day to day life more than we think.
I’ m here to tell you it is okay to just PAUSE to take a moment and re-evaluate your steps to prioritize your NEEDS vs WANTS.
It’s a huge difference. It is up to you to set boundaries.
I find myself struggling a lot on the things I need to do vs. the things I would like to do because I have an issue saying NO – all the while wanting to do it all and wanting to please everyone. At the end of the day it’s impossible, you are bound to break.
“I have realized not knowing when to say to NO and who I should be saying NO to has caused me to have a lot of unnecessary anxiety.”
I think we all, at some point, have issues balancing home life, work life, and personal life and being a friend. Overextending ourselves can end up being a detriment to us as an individual which in the end will eventually trickle down and affect everyone around us. You cannot burn yourself out until you have nothing left for yourself much less to give to anyone else.
Prioritize and learn to let your “Yes be a Yes and your No be a No.”
Only one person can control your life and that would be you. Take full ownership and live your life unapologetically.
